Nodens Ictus were an off-shoot from Ozric Tentacles that concentrated on “ambient” “blissed out” sounds to chill to. They dumped almost all guitars, bass and drums and concentrated on mainly using synths and samplers. The band featured Ed Wynne, Ozrics main man, plus Joie Hinton and Merv Pepler, both members of the Ozrics at the time but now are Eat Static. Most of the stuff here is from 1986 to 1991 although there are a couple of extra tracks from 2000 chucked in by Ed. The music is very VERY laid back ambient stuff that borders on the new age at times, much of it resembles Steve Hillages Rainbow Dome Music, although it has Eds sonic fingerprints all over it so it always has that Ozrics vibe.
